In the Lysti cottage you will travel back to idyllic childhood cottage holidays. Located in the village of Siika-Kämä in Rovaniemi, Lysti Cottage is a compact cottage that is nostalgically charming with updated amenities to make your stay effortless. The most enthusiastic go to the sandy beach for a swim or sledging down a hill. For the pleasure-seekers, the terrace or the dock will be ideal. In the Lystikämä Country & Lake Retreat area you will find plenty of leisurely activities where you can feel the relaxing presence of Lapland's nature.

Thank you so much, Miika, We had a wonderful stay with you. You live in a truly beautiful spot—right on the lake, surrounded by forests. Thank you for the great tips and the private tour of the reindeer farm. The snowmobile ride will remain unforgettable for my family. Even at -30 degrees. Seeing the Northern Lights from your cabin on the Nature Trail and grilling by the campfire was also very beautiful and unforgettable. We wish you all the best; maybe we’ll come back again in the summer.

We had a wonderful time at Miika’s cabin. It was really cozy and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for our vacation. The cabin is in a stunning location with breathtaking views in every direction. Snowmobiling around the lake and watching the Northern Lights from the hot tub are memories that will stay with us forever. Miika was an amazing host—so helpful, hospitable, and friendly that we had absolutely no complaints and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience—this was by far the best Airbnb stay we’ve ever had!

I enjoyed our stay here. Our children are 11 and 12 years old, and they had a great time riding a snowmobile for the first time and pulling each other on the sled.
I also liked the location, which was peaceful and far from the Christmas crowds in Rovaniemi. I’m from Finland, and I chose this place for my Australian family so they could experience the snow and cold of Lapland. It didn’t disappoint. Thank you, Miika, for the accommodation.

About this space
58 km south-east of Rovaniemi city centre, Lake Siika-Kämä 25 m (lake length 2 km, width 800 m), gently shelving shore, sandy bottom, pier, own rowing boat. Possibility to swim also on the child-friendly sandy beach next to the cottage (50 m).
Timbered small house, completely renovated and modernized. Sofa bed in the living room, 2 beds in the alcove, kitchenette, bathroom/toilet, hallway.
Wireless internet connection (wifi).
Separate sauna 20 m, steam room (wood stove and heater tank) and sauna room. The sauna has electric light and summer water supply inside.
During the dry season, a campfire site on the beach. The two cottages also share a 1 km nature trail with a shelter and fireplace (can also be used in winter).
For pets there is an extra charge of 30 €/reservation.
Good fishing waters right from the beach. Lake with pike perches, pikes and perches. Known to have good berry forests nearby. Visitors can share a 1 km nature trail with another cottage, with a shelter and outdoor fireplace.
Sheep and chickens on the farm in the yard in summer from 25 June to 30 September. Animals can also be visited and fed.
