Imagine yourself in a warm glass igloo in your comfortable bed watching the Northern Lights from the igloo window wall. The igloo offers a panoramic view of beautiful Finnish nature and brings you closer to a magical experience than ever before.
The luxury glass igloo is located just a short walk from the sauna building. AuroraHut is equipped for a comfortable and memorable holiday for two. The main feature is the unobstructed floor-to-ceiling view of the outdoors and the sky. Facilities include a double bed, a kitchen for cooking, a fold-down dining table, a cellar and a toilet. There is storage space for your luggage under the bed. The heating and lighting can be easily adjusted to your liking and the curtains provide privacy for your stay.
There is an outdoor hot tub at your disposal, ready for you whenever you feel like taking a dip. The sauna building is for your private use during your stay and features a shower, a wood-fired sauna, a kitchenette, a refrigerator, and a large bunk bed.
AuroraHut and the sauna building are located in a private area. The owners live nearby in the main house. Parking is free of charge. AuroraHut is located in Lystikämä, a 45-minute drive from Rovaniemi city centre.
This package can even be booked for four adults (extra bed possibility also for children). You can enjoy all this by changing activities to suit your taste. Of course, you can also combine all this with a Villa Lystikämä rental if you wish.

Look no further!!!! This place is absolutely magical!!! We loved EVERYTHING about this place and our host Miika was extremely friendly, helpful, and had amazing hospitality. We slept in the Aurora hut on a comfy bed every night under the stars and even saw the beautiful northern lights. The kitchen had everything we needed, and to top it off we had a private sauna, and hot tub. On our last day; we went on a snowmobile safari with Miika across the frozen lake, through the snowy forest to another frozen lake. We enjoyed our surroundings while Miika started a fire and then we roasted sausages and had his homemade berry juice. It was definitely a day to remember! This was hands down the BEST vacation of our lives. Our whole family didn’t want to leave this beautiful place. We will most definitely be back!!! Thank you again Miika! We had a vacation of a lifetime!

First of all, Miika was a wonderful host. His communication was excellent even before our arrival, and he was helpful in every way. When we arrived, we had an experience far beyond our expectations. He truly did his best to make our holiday beautiful and unforgettable. As for the house… It was amazing, simply amazing. When we arrived, the hot tub had already been heated for us. The house was much more beautiful and impressive than in the photos. The Aurora Hut experience was especially incredible. The house is approximately 50 minutes away from Rovaniemi city center. For this reason, we recommend bringing some food with you when you go. However, everything you might need is available in the house; it was very well-equipped and comfortable. Thank you very much for everything Miika.

We had an amazing time at Miika’s property! Staying in the igloo was such a unique and fun experience (it’s actually kind of a boat and you can cruise around the lake in it!). The area was also so peaceful that you can really just enjoy nature and relax. We came in the fall and the trees were beautiful. Miika and Meeri are so kind and helpful, and made us feel very welcomed. I also very much appreciated how genuine they are about giving you an authentic Finnish experience, which you can’t really get at hotels. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely try to come back in the winter time!!! Thanks again Miika for a great stay!!

About this space
58 km south-east of Rovaniemi city centre, Lake Siika-Kämä 25 m (lake length 2 km, width 800 m), gently shelving shore, sandy bottom, pier, own rowing boat.
Good fishing waters right from the beach. Lake with pike perches, pikes and perches. Known to have good berry forests nearby. Visitors can share a 1 km nature trail with another cottage, with a shelter and outdoor fireplace.
Sheep and chickens on the farm in the yard in summer from 25 June to 30 September. Animals can also be visited and fed.
There is a sledging hill and sledges available for children. The owner makes a cross-country ski trail from the cottage yard, approx. 5 km long. Possibility to rent snowshoes.
Snowmobile safaris and guided tours are available from the owner for an additional fee. You can rent snowmobiles for your own use and go on guided safaris directly from your accommodation.
During the dry season, a campfire site on the beach. The two cottages also share a 1 km nature trail with a shelter and fireplace (can also be used in winter).
For pets there is an extra charge of 30 €/reservation.
Pick-up service by arrangement at a different price, e.g. from the airport.
