The space
You have at your disposal a glass igloo on the lake with a double bed (possibility of an extra bed), a living room with a lake view and pull-out beds, a modern kitchen, a toilet/shower room and a separate new wood-heated sauna building. If you wish, you can get winter activities with your accommodation!

Cottage is located on private property. The owners live nearby in the main building. Parking is free. The property is located in Lystikämä, a 45-minute drive from downtown Rovaniemi.
You can book this package for two adults and two children, for example. You can enjoy all of this by switching between activities as you please. Of course, you can also combine all of this with a rental of Villa Lystikämä if you wish.
Other things to note
The accommodation's interiors are renovated, modern and fully equipped. The accommodation is in the middle of beautiful and peaceful nature. You can enjoy winter activities right at your doorstep. Snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, a private nature trail, snowmobile safaris and a snow hill for children. A reindeer farm and husky rides are also nearby and the best opportunities to see the Northern Lights!

We are very happy to had a chance to stay at Miika’s amazing place. ✨ We spent a wonderful romantic week in this lovely cosy cottage, in the heart of fantastic Lappish nature. We had everything we might need (kitchen very functional, bedding comfortable, enough wood for the fire place, shower with essentials, large TV). We had a chance to use a large sauna in the yard, almost brand new, with a nice view over the lake. The surroundings of Miika’s place are just amazing. It’s secluded with the nicest nature trails in the woods and on the lake (campfire lunch was a gem)! Miika’s house is 3 min from the cottage so he is always ready to help or give advice. Miika is a great host, attentive and respectful to his guests. He helped us with the activities (snowmobiles, skiis and sledges) which we so much appreciated. We had the most wonderful wedding anniversary at Miika’s Peace of Lapland. And as a great present from Nature, we were able to observe incredible auroras during our stay! ✨❄

Thank you so much, Mika, for this stay. The place was very well-equipped and even more beautiful in person. It’s very cozy, and Mika is very welcoming and responsive. It’s one of the most beautiful Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at—if not the most beautiful! You can arrange activities directly with Mika. We visited a reindeer farm and went snowmobiling right in front of the cabin on the frozen lake, which is much better than going to Rovaniemi because you can come back inside to warm up if it gets really cold. The reindeer farm is 20 minutes away. An authentic and exotic experience. A dream come true. Thank you! We’ll be back.

10/10 – A Magical Experience This place is simply indescribable. Nestled deep in the forest, it offers a truly unique experience, perfect for witnessing the Northern Lights in all their glory. Every detail of this cabin has been thoughtfully designed, from the cozy interior to the firepit area, sauna, and surrounding nature. The host is exceptional, making sure everything is perfect for your stay. If I had to describe this place in just one word, it would be magical. Pro tip: The Airbnb photos don’t even come close to capturing the beauty of this place—you have to see it for yourself!

58 km south-east of Rovaniemi city centre, Lake Siika-Kämä 25 m (lake length 2 km, width 800 m), gently shelving shore, sandy bottom, pier, own rowing boat.
Forest hut with fireplace
Good fishing waters right from the beach. Lake with pike perches, pikes and perches.
Known to have good berry forests nearby. Visitors can share a 1 km nature trail with another cottage, with a shelter and outdoor fireplace.
Sheep and chickens on the farm in the yard in summer from 25 June to 30 September. Animals can also be visited and fed.
There is a sledging hill and sledges available for children. The owner makes a cross-country ski trail from the cottage yard, approx. 5 km long. Possibility to rent snowshoes.
Snowmobile safaris and guided tours are available from the owner for an additional fee. You can rent snowmobiles for your own use and go on guided safaris directly from your accommodation.
Pick-up service by arrangement at a different price, e.g. from the airport.
